iTunes: MSVCR80.dll is missing - you can do that
If iTunes shows you the error "MSVCR80.dll is missing or incorrect", you have to insert the file yourself or even perform a new installation. We will guide you through the process.
1. Insert MSVCR80.dll later
- Download the missing MSVCR80.dll file and then move it to the iTunes directory.
- Usually it is saved in the folder "C: \ Windows \ System32". In this case, you should also copy the file to the iTunes folder "C: \ Program Files \ iTunes".
2. Reinstall iTunes
If the error is still displayed, it can only be remedied by a new installation. To do this, you must first uninstall iTunes.
- After successfully uninstalling iTunes, make sure all folders have been deleted. If this is not the case, delete the remaining folders manually.
- Then download the latest version of iTunes and install it as usual. The error should then be corrected.
This practical tip was tested under Microsoft Windows 7. The problem can be solved almost identically on other Microsoft operating systems. In another article we will show you how to delete unnecessary DLL files in Windows and thus save space.
