iTunes: Export playlist - how it works
You can export your iTunes playlist in just a few steps and share it with friends or save it as a backup. We'll show you in detail how to do this.
Export playlist from iTunes
You can also export your iTunes playlists directly to iTunes:
- In iTunes, click File> Media Library> Export Playlist.
- Now enter a name under which you want to save the playlist and look for a storage location.
- You can load the playlist back into iTunes via "File"> "Media library"> "Import playlist".
iTunes: Export all playlists at once
- If you have a particularly large number of playlists, you can also export them all at once.
- To do this, open "File"> "Media library"> "Export media library" and also enter a name.
Export iTunes playlists for other streaming services
In order for other streaming services to be able to import the iTunes playlists, you have to do something different:
- Open the "Settings" in iTunes and then select "Advanced".
- Then activate "Share the iTunes library XML file with other programs".
- Now iTunes playlists can also be imported from other streaming services. You no longer have to export the playlists individually to iTunes.
In the next practical tip, we will show you how to export your entire iTunes library and how to move to a new PC, for example.
