iTunes update failed - what to do?
In this practical tip, we show you what you can do if an iTunes update has failed.
iTunes error: R6034 runtime error
Apple recently released an update for iTunes. This is apparently still subject to errors and outputs the error "R6034 Runtime Error":
- If you have successfully installed the update, the message "R6034 - An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the apps support team for more info" appears. According to Apple, a damaged file is the error here.
- A pure reinstallation would not solve the problem. It only helps here to completely remove the software including its subfolders and reinstall iTunes.
iTunes error: Windows Error 1114
- If you install the update a second time, you will receive the error message "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes".
- Again, you need to be careful not to simply remove iTunes from the Control Panel. All files and folders must also be deleted for the update to work correctly.
