This practical tip shows you how to uninstall iTunes from your Mac.
Uninstall iTunes music software from Mac
First of all, make sure iTunes is not currently open. Also click in the Finder and right click on "Programs". Select "Information" to know the location of the programs. The programs are usually in "/", ie in the top folder. If another location is specified, then remember it.
- Use the Finder to search for the "Terminal" in programs.
- If the programs on your Mac are in a different location (not "/"), then type "cd" and the location path to get to this location.
- Enter the command "sudo rm -rf iTunes.app/" and press the Enter key.
- Now you have to enter your admin password to confirm. iTunes will now be removed from your Mac.
