Java: Disable auto update
Note that you should install important Java security updates, especially if you use Java programs regularly.
- Right-click on the Java icon in the Windows bar at the bottom of the screen.
- Select the "Properties" item.
- Click on the "Update" tab and uncheck "Automatically check for updates".
- In the following window you can choose whether you do not want to check for updates at all or only monthly.
- Then confirm with "Apply" and "OK".
