Java for Android - is there?
Many Internet videos and websites require Java. At least this is not preinstalled on Android smartphones and tablets. But is there Java for Android at all?
No Java on the android
There is Java for programming Android apps, but unfortunately not for playing. Nevertheless, Java applications can also be used with a trick on Android devices:
- You need an app like "AlwaysOnPC" to simulate a virtual PC on your Android device.
- You can then play web pages with Java applications in your browser.
- However, this is relatively expensive, because "AlwaysOnPC" costs you 19.99 euros at the time of the test - and only for a one-year subscription.
There is also a practical tip on the subject of Java for all iPhone users. It tells you how to turn Java Pug-In on or off on your iPhone.
