Java: error code 1603 - how to fix the problem
If error code 1603 occurs when installing Java, the update to the latest version has failed. We'll show you how to properly install Java.
Troubleshoot error code 1603 during Java installation
- Press the [Windows] and [E] keys simultaneously so that the Explorer opens.
- Navigate here to the path "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Java \ jreXXX \ bin" and open the file "javacpl.exe".
- Go to the "Security" tab above and uncheck the "Enable Java content in browser" option.
- Close the window with the "OK" button and then open the following Java website.
- Click on "Windows offline" to download the full version of Java.
- Then start the installation if the error no longer occurs. You can now reactivate the above function.
Error code 1603: Reinstall Java completely
- Open the Control Panel and select the "Uninstall a program" item under the "Programs" category.
- Look for the entry "Java" in the list and then click on the "Uninstall" button above.
- Now follow the further instructions and then download the current version of Java.
