- If there are problems with the installation or update of Java, you can try to restart your PC.
- After a successful restart, you should uninstall the old version of Java using the Control Panel and then try again.
- Alternatively, you can also use the Java Offline Installer to install the tool.
- Open the Java Control Panel, which you can find in the start menu under "Java"> "Configure Java" and switch there to the "Security" tab. Deactivate the option "Activate Java content in the browser" and confirm with "Apply" and "OK". Then try again to install or update Java. Note: After successful installation or update, you have to activate this option again.
- Also try repairing the Windows installer. To do this, use this tool under "Tools"> "Clean Junk Files".
