JDownloader error: Invalid download path - you can do that
Thanks to JDownloader you can download several parts from one hoster. If the "Invalid download path" error occurs, you may not have the required access rights to the download folder. Find out what you can do in this practical tip.
Invalid download path at JDownloader - what to do?
- First open the settings of the program and make sure that the folder under "Download directory" exists.
- If this is the case, change to this folder and right-click in it. Then select "Properties" and switch to the "Security" tab.
- Here you can see who can access this folder. To edit these rights, click on "Advanced" below. The "Administrators" group should have full access here.
- However, if this folder does not exist or you cannot change the rights, enter a new folder for the downloads.
- You should also make sure that you have entered the download path correctly and that there are no spaces or typing errors.
- In some cases, the error also appears if the name of the file you are trying to download is too long. Therefore, right click on the download and select "Rename".
- A restart of the download or a complete reinstallation of JDownloader can often help.
