jDownloader: Read passwords - is that possible?
If you want to read a password from the JDownloader, this is unfortunately only possible to a limited extent. We'll show you which ways are available.
Read passwords in JDownloader
- In older versions of JDownloader, saved passwords can still be read out easily. Select the "Settings" in the "Settings" above and switch to "Account Management" on the left. Select the desired account, copy the profile with [Ctrl] + [C] and paste the data into a text document.
- Unfortunately, this is no longer possible with the newer versions of JDownloader. If you have created a backup, you can also import your backup again. Alternatively, you can also copy the "cfg" folder from the JDownloader directory. This means that the password can be adopted in other installations, but cannot be viewed.
- The passwords can no longer be read out so easily for a good reason. Find the password for a specific hoster, contact them directly. You can request a new password on the respective website in just a few steps.
- Note: The JDownloader Password Decryptor can also read the passwords. The tool seems to be working, how safe the source is, but cannot be said. Downloading is at your own risk.
