JNLP won't start - you can do that

Mac: JNLP won't start - what to do?
- Start the system settings and select the item "Java". It takes a moment for the control panel to open.
- Under the "General" tab, click on "Settings" under "Temporary Internet files".
- In the following window, select "Delete files".
- When asked, check the "Trace and log files" and "Cached applications and applets" boxes. Then confirm with "OK".
Windows: JNLP does not start - what to do?
- Open the Java Control Panel. You can get there via "Control Panel -> Java".
- In the dialog window, select the "General" tab.
- Here, in the "Temporary Internet files" section, click on "Settings".
- If you click on "Delete files" in the following window, a query appears. Place a checkmark in front of "Applications and Applets" and in front of "Tracking and log files" and confirm with "OK".
