Jodel does not change location - what to do?

If Jodel does not change the location in the app, this is usually due to incorrect settings in the GPS location. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
Jodel: location is not changed
- Turn your smartphone off and on again. In many cases, this will solve the problem. Small errors in the buffer are thus deleted.
- If that doesn't help, you have to make the GPS settings. You can find this in the "Settings" app on your smartphone. Instructions for iOS and Android can be found in the next paragraph.
iOS & Android: How to update the location at Jodel
- iOS: Open the "Settings" on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch and select the "Data protection" category there. Check under "Location services" above whether these are switched on and look for the yodel app in the list. Activate the "When using the app" option here.
- Android: Open the "Settings" on your Android smartphone or tablet and select the "Location" category there. Activate both the "Google location services" and the "GPS services" here. Depending on the smartphone, the function is only titled "Location".
Yodel location: If nothing helps
If the approaches described above have not led to success, you only have the option to reinstall the Jodel app. Make sure to take a screenshot of your profile and the karma points so that you can count them against the new installation.
