Joomla: Show module positions - how it works
In this guide, we explain how to display module positions in Joomla and which settings you have to make for them.
Release preview for module position
Before you can display the module positions, you must first activate the function in Joomla version 2.5.xx in the backend.
- Log in to the backend with the necessary authorizations and select "Templates" in the control center.
- In the top right corner you will now see "Options". Click on this.
- In Joomla 2.5xx you have to activate the radio button "release" after "Preview module positions". In Joomla 3.x.xx the area looks a little different, here you have to click the "Activated" button and then save.
Joomla: Show module positions
Once you have made the necessary settings in the backend, displaying the module positions is child's play.
- Simply add "? Tp = 1" to the URL of your website in the browser, for example "www.your-page /? Tp = 1" or "www.your-page / index.php? Tp = 1".
