Use JustCloud in Windows 8 - how it works
With JustCloud you can conveniently back up your files in the cloud. We show you how to use the service in Windows 8.
1. Install JustCloud on Windows 8
If you don't already have a JustCloud account, you can create one for a trial period free of charge. To do this, go to the JustCloud website and enter your name, email address and password on the right-hand side.
- If you have just registered on JustCloud, you will be redirected to your account overview. There the download of the JustCloud software for Windows 8 should begin automatically. If not, click the yellow button "Download for Windows" in the middle.
- If you already have a JustCloud account, log in and click on the yellow button "Install our app today" in the left navigation bar of your account overview. The download will then start automatically.
- After the download, open the JustCloud software setup and press "Install".
2. Use JustCloud in Windows 8
The installation wizard starts automatically as soon as the installation is successfully completed. Now all you have to do is connect your account to your PC:
- Log in to the installation wizard with your access data. Enter your username or email and your password and confirm with "Next".
- Select the directories you want to back up with JustCloud - for example, the "Images", "Documents" and "Desktop" folders selected by default. Then click on "Next".
- The backup of the folders you have selected is now started automatically and carried out once a day by default.
If you prefer to create your own data backup instead of trusting an external provider, we will explain how to set up a private cloud.
