Connect the camera to the television - how it works
You can connect your camera to the TV in different ways. We will introduce you to the most common methods.
Connect the camera to the television: This is how it's done
- A suitable cable is already included with many cameras. The yellow cinch connector transmits the picture and is sufficient for photos. If you also want to hear sound, use the red and white connection.
- If you cannot find the yellow connector on your television, you need a special adapter. A scart adapter is already available for a few euros.
- Alternatively, you can also connect most cameras to the TV using a USB cable. You can also zap through the pictures with your remote control and do not have to operate the camera.
- Once you have connected the camera and television, you only have to switch on the two devices. Change the input source on the TV from the TV signal to AV or USB.
Other options for connecting the camera and television
- Somewhat more expensive cameras in particular now have a WLAN module. In this way, the images can be transferred wirelessly to the television. This works, for example, with the latest Sony cameras in conjunction with a current Sony television.
- A few cameras also offer an HDMI connection. Image and sound are transmitted with a cable. This transmission is particularly suitable for high-resolution videos, but is very rarely found in cameras.
