Insert checkered background in Word - Here's how
If you want to insert a checkered background in Word, you can reach your goal in two ways. We'll show you how it's done.
Word: Insert checkered background
- Go to the "Design" tab in Word and find the "Page background" category. In older versions of Office you will find them under the "Page layout" tab.
- Click the "Page Color" button and select the "Fill Effects" option at the bottom. Then a small window opens.
- Switch to the "Pattern" tab above and select a desired checkered variant. Below you can also adjust the background color and the color of the lines.
- Alternatively, switch to the "Graphics" tab above. There you can insert your own checkered background. Templates are available for download on the Internet, such as this template for math lessons.
- With the "OK" button, the desired checkered background is inserted in Word.
