Print index cards with Word - how it works
If you want to print on index cards with Word, you have to set a certain page format and insert the paper correctly. We'll show you exactly how it works.
Step 1: Select index card format in Word
Various file card formats are pre-installed in Word. You can choose from them or create your own format.
- Click on "Size" in the "Page layout" section. Scroll down and select one of the three index card formats or click on "More paper formats ..." at the bottom.
- You can then set the width and height manually in the "Format" tab. When you are finished, confirm your setting with "OK".
- To set the landscape, click on "Orientation" and select "Landscape".
- Now you can enter your text and, if desired, add it to an image. Read here how to crop an image correctly in Word.
Step 2: Print index card via Word
When you are finished, you can print your index card using Word. To do this, you must load the paper correctly:
- Insert the index cards into the printer. You will usually find a mark in the loading area that shows you how to load the paper.
- Then press the key combination [Ctrl] + [P] to open the print menu.
- Select the desired settings and confirm with "OK".
