Kaspersky: Find weak points - how it works
Use the Kaspersky software for automated protection against viruses and hackers. You can also use this to track down weaknesses and increase the security of your system.
Detect system vulnerabilities with Kaspersky
- To do this, open the Kaspersky program window and click on "Tools" on the left. Select the "Vulnerability search in the system" on the right and click "Start" in the following dialog.
- After a few minutes of analysis, an overview of possible weak points in the system and programs appears. Check all results individually by selecting them and clicking on the "Details" button to access further information on the Internet.
- Then decide for yourself whether you really need this setting or rather change it for safety reasons. Using the "Correct" button, you can have the tool take care of any changes you might want. Also check the entries in the "Programs with Vulnerabilities" tab.
- For example, practically no one needs an autostart for network drives, so you should better close this gap.
- On the other hand, it may well be necessary to classify some websites as "trustworthy" in Internet Explorer. In this case, do not allow correction with the tool. Instead, you should check whether only the necessary websites are entered there.
