Kaspersky starts slowly - it may be because of it
If Kaspersky starts up slowly, there can be several reasons. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
Speed up the launch of Kaspersky
In order not to slow down your system, Kaspersky always starts as one of the last programs. This speeds up your system, but can also be switched off.
- Start Kaspersky and open the "Settings" at the bottom left.
- Go to the "Performance" category on the left and look for the "Computer resources" category.
- Deactivate the option "Release resources for the operating system at startup".
- Note: Under older versions of Kaspersky you will find the option in the "Compatibility" category.
Kaspersky starts up slowly - that can help
- Clean Windows Startup: If a large number of programs and processes are started when starting up, it may take some time to start Kaspersky. Remove any unnecessary startup programs.
- Speed up Windows autostart: The programs in autostart are generally called with a certain delay. You can speed up this process manually.
- Reinstall: If none of this helps, uninstall Kasperksy and then download the current version from our CHIP download area.
