No more sound on YouTube - what to do?
If YouTube stops playing sound, there can be several reasons. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
First steps: No more sound on YouTube
- Video: At the bottom left of the video you will find the volume control on the right next to the play button. Drag it all the way to the right.
- PC: At the bottom right you will find a loudspeaker symbol in the task bar. Click on this and drag all controls upwards.
- Alternative: Find another YouTube video and check the sound there. Also play a song through a music player to see if the problem is not with the browser.
- Restart: In many cases it helps to restart the browser. If that doesn't help, restart your PC and read on in the next paragraph.
Windows: Activate loudspeaker
If your computer no longer makes any sound, please follow these instructions:

- Type in "sndvol.exe" and confirm with "OK".
- Switch all loudspeakers to the maximum volume here again and then click on the symbol of the loudspeaker.
