No sound over Winamp - it could be because of that
If Winamp does not play a single sound, it is either Windows or the software. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
No sound at Winamp - what to do?
First, check if other programs are making a sound. If so, the problem is definitely with Winamp.
- At the top of Winamp, click on the "Options" menu item and select the "Settings" there.
- Under the "Output" and "Zero Soft Direct Sound Output" categories you will now find the "Configure" option.
- Under "Device" you should now choose the appropriate audio output. If you're not sure which one, just give it a try.
- Also try playing other songs and streams.
- If that doesn't work either, you should uninstall Winamp and then reinstall it.
- Click the speaker icon in the lower right corner of the taskbar and turn up the sound a little. Click on "Mixer" below and also turn up the sound for Winamp.
- The problem can also be due to an incorrect driver or incorrect sound settings. To solve these problems, follow the instructions "No sound under Windows".
