No connection to Chromecast - what to do?
If you can't connect to your Chromecast, there's no need to despair. Below we give you tips on how to fix this problem.
Chromecast: No connection - you can do that
- First, make sure that your time on the PC is set correctly. You can do this by calling the Uhr.de service.
- Disconnect your WLAN router from the mains for approx. 10 seconds. This trick fixes many connection problems.
- At the same time, make sure the Chromecast is on the same network as your PC. You can see this in the Chromecast menu at the bottom right, on the PC you will also find information on the current connection at the bottom right.
- Proxy servers or VPNs can affect the Chromecast connection. Therefore, separate any proxy connections.
- Your antivirus or firewall may be blocking Chromecast. As a test, you should briefly switch both of them off.
- A simple PC or Chromecast restart can also often help.
