Set up password reset media for Windows

- Insert a CD into the drive or connect a USB stick to your computer.
- Click on "Start" and go to "Control Panel".
- Select the entry "User Accounts and Protection of Minors" and then go to "User Accounts".
- Click the "Create a password reset disk" option on the left.
- Now the "Forgotten Password Assistant" opens. Click the Next button".
- From the drop-down menu, select the drive you want to use as a password reset disk.
- Then enter the current password. Your inserted medium is now described.
- Keep your password reset media in a safe place.
How to use the password reset disk
- If you enter your password incorrectly during registration, the comment "Reset password ..." appears under the input field.
- If you click on the entry, the "Assistant for forgotten passwords" opens again.
- Insert your password reset disk or connect it to your computer.
- Now you can set a new password and a new password hint.
- Then log in to Windows with your new password.
