Kindle: share books - how it works
If you would like to share the books on your Kindle with other people, this is only possible through the family library. We'll show you how to set them up and share your books with friends and family.
Instructions: Share books on Kindle
To establish the connection between two accounts for a book exchange, you have to log in with both accounts on one device. If this is currently not possible, use the instructions in the next paragraph.
- Take your Amazon Kindle at hand and tap the menu in the top right of the display.
- Select the category "Household and family library" in the "Settings".
- Here, tap on the "Add new person" option.
- Now you can add either one adult or up to four children.
- Now log in with the other person's account to establish the connection.
- Then both people have access to the family library and all Kindle books.

Amazon: Share books on Kindle online
- Open this Amazon website and log into your account.
- Go to "Settings" above and scroll down a bit.
- Click the "Invite an adult" or "Add a child" button here.
- If you follow the further instructions, the second account will receive an invitation by email.
- If the invitation is accepted, both people have access to the family library.
