Manage Kindle eBooks - The Best Tips
This practical tip shows you how you can best manage your Kindle eBooks.
Kindle: Better overview thanks to eBook collections
Especially if you read a lot, your Kindle may become chaotic at some point. You can no longer find an eBook because you have forgotten the name and you are slowly losing track. These tips will help you manage your eBook on Kindle.
- It makes most sense to create collections for your Kindle. To do this, switch to your library and click on the corresponding button "Collections".
- Create collections, i.e. folders that are divided, for example, by genre, author or subject. For example, create a collection for your fantasy novels, a collection for your favorite author, or a collection of eBooks that will help you professionally. It is important to assign meaningful names that you can quickly find again.
- Create the collection using the plus sign "Add", give it a name and in the next step add all the eBooks that fit the collection.
- Tip: If you press and hold a collection for a long time, you can also link it to the start page with the add icon and thus get faster access to your eBooks.
Sort out: Download eBooks in the cloud or on a PC
If there are far too many eBooks, you can load the books you do not currently need into a cloud storage or store them temporarily on the PC or an external hard drive.
- To do this, go back to your personal Kindle library. Then switch the view from the device to the cloud. Add or remove suitable titles using the plus sign.
- Another option is to connect your Kindle to your computer using a USB cable. Drag all eBooks into a corresponding folder on the computer or external hard drive for temporary storage.
Kindle: delete reading samples and make room
If you frequently read in new eBooks and use reading samples for this, they disappear into the depths of your Kindles. You have to delete them manually, otherwise chaos threatens.
- It is best to delete the corresponding reading samples immediately after downloading. So if you don't like a book and you don't want to buy it, remove it.
- If you are undecided, you can have the eBook written on your wish list at Amazon and buy it at a later date. Alternatively, create a collection called "Reading Samples".
