Kindle: Reading and listening to music at the same time - is that possible?
With Kindle Keyboard and Kindle Touch, you can listen to and read music at the same time. In this article you can read how you can directly load the MP3 files onto the reader together with the eBook.
Kindle: Read and listen to music at the same time - how it works
- Connect your reader to your computer via USB. Copy the MP3 files, which you prefer as background music, directly below the main directory of the reader into the (new) folder "music". You can then disconnect the reader from your system again.
- To start the MP3 player on the Kindle Touch, use "Start screen". Then tap "Menu"> "Beta Features"> "MP3 Player".
- The player appears at the bottom of the display. The individual buttons are self-explanatory. Tap "Play" to start playing the MP3 files. You can reach the player while reading by tapping on the top edge of the display.
- In addition to the familiar buttons such as "Menu" and "Go to", the "Player" also appears. On the Kindle keyboard, use "Home" and then "Menu"> "Experimental"> "play music". Your music files will start playing.
- Kindle Keyboard does not display an MP3 player, so control is carried out using key combinations. Use [Alt] + [Space] to start and stop playback. You can go to the next title via [Alt] + [F].
- Note: Kindle Keyboard and Kindle Touch always play the music tracks in the order in which you previously copied the files to the reader.
