Switch off the Amazon Kindles WiFi
With your Amazon Kindle, you typically only need WiFi to borrow books or surf the web. You can safely deactivate the WiFi connection simply by reading. The advantage: the battery life of your Kindles is noticeably longer.
- To deactivate the WLAN on a Kindle Touch, switch on the device and briefly touch it at the top of the screen.
- A menu bar opens in which you can open the "Settings" on the right.
- Then touch the top menu item "Switch off wireless connection" to switch off the WLAN activity of the Kindles.
- To save the battery of your eBook reader even more, you can also switch off the Kindle completely.
- Note: In older versions of Kindle you can turn off WLAN by activating the flight mode via the settings.
