Kindle: Send quotes via Twitter and Facebook
With your Kindle Paperwhite, it's easy to post quotes directly from an eBook on Twitter or Facebook. This makes reading even more fun when you can share and discuss passages directly with your friends, relatives or acquaintances - even from a distance. Find out how it's done here.
1. Send Kindle quotes via Twitter or Facebook: the requirement
- First you have to link your Amazon account to Twitter and / or Facebook - if you haven't already done so. If you have already linked your accounts, read on from the second point.
- To do this, go to the Start menu by tapping the top of the Kindle screen.
- Now click on the three horizontal lines at the top right and select the option »Settings«.
- Now control the "reading options" in the lower part.
- Here you will find a sub-item for »Social Networks«. Click on it.
- Now you have the option of connecting your Twitter and / or Facebook account directly to your Kindle Paperwhite.
2. Send Kindle quotes via Twitter or Facebook: the implementation
- Now mark the desired quotation by holding your finger longer on the beginning word of the desired text passage and then swiping it to the end of the quotation.
- Let go if the quote is highlighted in black.
- An options menu will appear. Select the word "Recommend" in it.
- In the text field that opens, you can enter a comment on the quotation itself, which will then be posted as well.
- Now all you have to do is cross the desired social network Facebook or Twitter. Both are represented by their familiar symbols.
- Now just click on the word "Recommend" and your quote will be posted on Twitter or Facebook.
- If you have not yet linked your accounts, you now have the opportunity to log in directly.
