Peel kiwi properly - how it works
You can peel the kiwi, but you don't have to. If you decide to do this, make sure that you only remove very thin strips of skin. As with many other types of fruit, the kiwi has many nutrients directly under the skin.
Peel kiwi - kitchen knife and peeler option
If the kiwi is still relatively hard, it is best to peel the fruit with a sharp kitchen knife or a peeler.
- Peel the kiwi top down. Make sure you only cut thin strips, otherwise you won't have much left of the little vitamin C bomb.
- If you are not quite as skilled with the kitchen knife, use a peeler to peel the kiwi well. In addition, do not throw the health-promoting nutrients into the organic bin afterwards.
- If the kiwi is already ripe, the fruit is very soft, making it much more difficult to peel the fruit. In that case, you can get to your destination with a little trick.
Peel soft kiwi - glass trick option
Cut the kiwi in half. Take a kiwi half and pull the bowl up a little.
Place the kiwi over the edge of a glass so that the bowl is outside the glass and the fruit is inside the glass. Then gently pull the kiwi down.
Process peeled kiwi
As already mentioned, you can eat the kiwi fruit in a bowl. This will add some nutrients to your body, but the taste is somewhat marginal. If you still want to try it, you should purchase organic kiwifruit and also clean it well.
- An alternative would be to prepare a delicious smoothie. In such a drink, the taste of the kiwi's skin is barely noticeable. Otherwise, the fruit goes with almost any fruit salad and is also great as a small snack on the go.
- Quickly made and always delicious is a homemade yogurt as a snack, which you quickly refine with two kiwis. By the way, the fruits turn the snack into a basic yoghurt, which can have a health-promoting effect.
- The best thing is of course always the fruit from your own garden. Not only do you have the fruit really fresh in front of you, you also know 100% that the fruit is pure organic quality.
- The planting and propagation of the exotic kiwifruit works well for us. However, you should pay attention to the correct care of the kiwi plants.
