Classes in Destiny 2: All information
In the Destiny 2 beta you can already try out the classes of the action shooter, which will also be available later in the full version. We give you an overview and all information about the classes in Destiny 2.
Main classes in Destiny 2
If you have already played the predecessor, you are already familiar with the main classes. These have not changed and still consist of Titan, Warlock and Hunter.
- Titan: It represents the tank and has high armor values. As a melee, he also does a lot of damage and can also jump up with his booster. He stands out from the other classes with his sash on the hip, which shows his merits and abilities.
- Warlock: It is the counterpart to the Titan due to its light armor and impresses with its high regeneration rate of hits. The Warlock specializes in ranged combat and can attack with energy fields, similar to a magician. Its hallmark is a bangle.
- Hunter: Compared to the Titan and Warlock, the hunter is well armored on average and can be classified as a stealth class. He moves at lightning speed and specializes in close combat with his blade or throwing knives. Hunters master the double jump (later triple jump) and stand out due to their cloak.
- The big difference between the classes is the super attacks, which can only be used individually - unlike weapons, which are basically not class-specific.
New in Destiny 2: subclasses and certain skills
If you have chosen a main class, you can no longer switch. However, you then have the option to switch freely between the activated subclasses of the respective main class at any time.
- Each subclass belongs to one of three elements: Arkus, Solar or Void. It differs in certain skills, grenades, passive buffs, bonuses on attributes and advanced skills in melee or agility.
- Destiny 2 has a total of six subclasses, with each main class having a maximum of two of these subclasses.
- For the Titan you can choose between the Arc classes Striker or Sentinel, for the Warlock the Empty classes Dusk Blade and Empty Runner and for the Hunter the Solar classes Revolverheld and Arc Acrobat.
- The subclasses have undergone some adjustments compared to the predecessor of Destiny 2.
- There are also new special skills for the main classes. This gives the Titans a magical barrier that intercepts damage, the Warlock can now summon a circle that heals team members, and the Hunter can dodge attacks and instantly reload weapons in the same turn.
