Air conditioning for the bedroom: costs for device and installation
The cost of air conditioning in the bedroom is made up of purchase, installation and operation. Here you can read how high the individual prices are.
Cost of air conditioning for the bedroom
The cost of air conditioning for the bedroom depends on the type of system and the cooling capacity.
- With air conditioning systems, you choose between a mobile or an assembled split system.
- A split system consists of two system parts. An indoor motor sucks in the room air, filters and cools it. The device outside carries the cooling compressor.
- Mobile air conditioners are cheaper, but cool less well than installed split systems. In addition, the mobile systems lack good workmanship.
- The costs for mobile systems are between 100 and 800 euros. Depending on the brand and model, there are major differences.
- With a price of 1, 500 - 2, 000 euros, split systems are more expensive, but also far more efficient.
- The assembly should absolutely be carried out by a craftsman, as he can determine the correct installation location, knows and can prevent installation problems and brings the necessary working materials.
- The compressor of the split systems is mounted on the outer wall. The craftsman drills through the wall, correctly places hoses and devices on the wall and connects the electrical system. Above all, the latter may only be carried out by a specialist.
- The installation of the air conditioning system strongly depends on the provider, the effort, tools and travel times. The installation can cost 300 euros or more than 1, 000 euros. It is best to get a quote from various providers.
- Assume that you use the air conditioning in your bedroom for about four months a year, two hours a day, or about 250 hours in total.
- At 250 hours, the operating costs for an assembled split system are around 40 euros per year. The mobile version costs around 60 euros a year.
