How to install XBMC / Kodi on your Mac
The installation of XBMC / Kodi on your Mac OS X is divided into several steps. You have to proceed as follows for the installation:
- First, download the latest version of Kodi for Mac OS X here.
- Kodi is shipped as a "Disk Image". With a double click you can load the image and use it.
- The image file contains Kodi as a single file. Drag this into the desired directory - usually into the application folder.
- If you're using Mac OS X 10.8 or later, you may get a warning. The message is intended to prevent you from installing software from an unknown source. If you downloaded Kodi from the source above, you can ignore the warning message.
- Right click on the Kodi icon and select "Open". Now you can use Kodi on Mac.

How to uninstall XBMC / Kodi on your Mac
If you're unhappy with Kodi and want to uninstall it, here's what you need to do:
- Drag the Kodi file from its application folder into the trash can.
- To also delete your personal user data from Kodi, also drag the folder "~ / Library / Application Support / Kodi" into the trash can.
