Insert comments in PowerPoint
You can take notes in the PowerPoint presentation or insert comments for colleagues, for example. We explain how to do this here.
Insert comments in PowerPoint 2003
Comments are displayed in yellow comment fields. You can move, enlarge, reduce and reformat both the text and the comment objects themselves like ordinary objects.
- To insert comments, select the slide in the slide view that you want to add a comment to.
- With a click on "Insert"> "Comment" you create the post-it-like yellow sticky note. Now enter your text and then click anywhere next to the yellow comment field. Now you can move the comment to the desired position.
- You can also place the comment outside the edge of the slide. Then it will not be visible during the presentation.
Insert comments in PowerPoint 2007
Of course, you can still add comments in the newer PowerPoint software. However, this function is in a different location.
- As in PowerPoint 2003, select the slide you want to add a comment to.
- Navigate to "Review" in the PowerPoint toolbar. Here you will find a menu item called "New Comment". If you click on it, a yellow notepad field opens. You can enter your comment here. The field can be moved with the mouse as desired.
- If you move the field from the slide into the blue border, it will not be visible during a presentation. You can also hide your comments entirely using the "Show markup" menu item.
