Noise in headphones - you can do that
Rushing headphones can be annoying, especially when listening to music. There are several ways to fix the problem. In this practical tip, we will tell you exactly what you can do against rushing headphones.
Headphones: tips against noise
If the headset or headphones are noisy, you can usually fix the problem yourself. Below we show you what you can do about it.
- First, make sure you have properly connected the headphones or headset.
- To do this, check whether all connections are correctly connected and whether the correct connection is used.
- If this is the case and you still hear a noise, you can also test another slot (if available).
- There may also be a broken cable. In some cases you can fix this yourself.
- If you have another PC or laptop on hand, you should test the headphones there. If the noise is also there, there is a defect in the headphones and you should replace them. Otherwise, it is more a problem of the corresponding player.

- As a precaution, you should set the "Deactivate all sound effects" option in the "Improvements" tab because some headphones or headsets are not compatible with the settings of the sound card.
- With USB headsets, we also recommend that you have the latest driver installed. You can find information on this on the website of the headset manufacturer.
