Ingredients to make your own herb liqueur
There is a herb against every ailment. And indeed, the aromatic plants in the forest and meadow help us to stay healthy and to activate our self-healing powers.
- Freshly picked herbs: a handful of sage, peppermint, rowan rose, lemon balm, dandelion flowers, lady's mantle, red clover flowers, ribwort and white plantain, bedstraw, dead nettle, lemon balm, honorary award, wild carrot and motherwort.
- Dried spices: 1/2 teaspoon of anise and fennel, two berries of cardamom and a juniper berry.
- 1 liter of grain and 150g of brown sugar, 1 large glass jar with at least 2 liters capacity.
- Please only use the wild herbs that you can determine without any doubt.
- You can also leave out herbs or add others. According to your taste.

Put herbs, spices and sugar in a glass jar.
Add the alcohol to the herbal sugar mixture.
Once you have collected all the herbs, it only takes a few simple steps and a little patience to make your own herb liqueur.
- Put the herbs, spices and brown sugar in a glass jar. Do not wash the herbs.
- Pour the alcohol into the glass, close it and shake it well.
- Place the jar in a sunny window seat for six weeks. Shake daily.
- Strain and pour through a filter again. For example, you can use a coffee filter.
- If the liqueur tastes too tart for you, add boiled sugar water.
- You can also prepare the liqueur without any sugar. Use the herbs and spices without brown sugar.
