Circular area calculation - that's the formula
You can calculate the area of a circle using a simple formula. We show you how the circular area calculation works.
Formula for calculating the circular area
You can calculate the area of a circle with the formula A = π · r² and the circumference with the equation U = 2 · π · r . π ("Pi") is the circle number and corresponds approximately to 3.14. "r" is the radius of the circle, ie the distance from the center to the edge.
- The formula for the circular area is: Radius² · Pi .
- If you only know the diameter of the circle, you can determine the radius by halving the diameter. Radius = diameter / 2
- You can get an exact result if you enter the number Pi on your calculator using the π symbol.
- The circumference of the circle can also be easily calculated using these values. The formula for this is: U = 2 · π · r .
