Before you do anything yourself, you should definitely clarify in advance whether you still have a guarantee on the laptop. If so, it is better not to open the notebook on your own, otherwise the guarantee may expire. If you no longer have a guarantee, you can start with the repair.

- Before you can install the new fan, the thermal paste is used.
- After you have removed the fan and the heat sink underneath, first carefully remove the old thermal compound from the CPU. Then apply a thin new layer to the CPU.
- Then reinstall the heat sink and the new fan.
- Important: Finally, connect the fan to the motherboard again and check whether the new fan really works.
