LaTeX: insert paragraph - how it works
In LaTeX you can create a paragraph without much code. But there are a few things to consider. We'll show you how to use paragraphs in LaTeX.
LaTeX: insert paragraphs
- To insert a paragraph in LaTeX, all you have to do is insert an empty line in the code, so press [Enter] twice.
- Latex does not represent an empty line, but it indents the next paragraph.
- As an alternative to the blank line in the code, you can use the "\ par" command.
- To insert an empty line between the paragraphs, put two backslashes [\] at the end of the paragraph.
- If you don't want to indent the next paragraph, put two backslashes at the end of the paragraph, press [Enter] once and start the next paragraph with two backslashes.
- In the picture you can see a code example that illustrates the methods mentioned.
On the next page we will show you how to bold in LaTeX.
