LaTeX: insert and edit caption - how it works
To add a caption in LaTeX, you can use the "caption" package. In addition, there are some tricks to customize the look of the caption.
LaTeX: Add caption with caption
In LaTex there is the command "caption" for captions.
- First integrate the package with "\ usepackage {caption}".
- You can now add a caption within a picture, between \ begin {figure} and \ end {figure}.
- Simply use the command \ caption {caption}.
- The caption "Figure X: Caption" then appears below the image.
LaTeX: Adjust captions with caption
- If you specify the "center" option when embedding, captions are always centered: \ usepackage [center] {caption}
- "Figure X:" always precedes the captions. You can adjust this in the document with \ renewcommand {\ figurename} {Fig.}. For example, the abbreviation Abb.
- You can also indent captions with the command: "\ setcapindent {0.3cm}".
