Buy speaker boxes - you should pay attention to that
If you want to buy new speaker boxes, there are a few things to consider. We show you the most important points.
You should pay attention to this when buying loudspeaker boxes
- Volume: If you want to celebrate a party, the system should already reach 100 decibels. Anything below 100 decibels is easily drowned out by a large crowd. In most cases, the manufacturer specifies the maximum volume in decibels himself.
- Bass: If one of the boxes has a so-called bass reflex opening, the box should be at least five, better ten centimeters from the wall. If you want or need to put the boxes directly on the wall, such a model is less suitable.
- System: If you are satisfied with the sound of the two speakers in your stereo system, you do not need a complete home theater system. However, if you want to get the full sound, you can get a whole surround system consisting of two stereo boxes, two effect boxes, as well as a center and a subwoofer.
- Protection: If you have small children in the house, you should also pay attention to the resilience of the boxes. Stable grids are the best way to protect against children's hands.
- Resistance: Most boxes have a resistance of 4 ohms. A bit older AV receivers cannot take this. Check this before buying.
