Insulate speakers - how it works
You should insulate your speakers sufficiently for the best sound. In this practical tip, we will tell you exactly how you should proceed.
Insulating speakers: that's how it works
- There are different materials for the insulation, but you should always use insulating wool.
- You can use normal super glue to attach the insulation wool. Simply stick it on the surface and spread the insulation wool over it.
- The following applies: distribute the insulation wool so that the inside of the loudspeaker is covered slightly and no components are covered.
- To achieve an ideal result, we recommend that you completely cover the inside of the housing with the insulating wool.
- Especially if you build your speaker yourself, insulation makes sense.
- New loudspeakers are usually sufficiently insulated by the respective manufacturer, so you should only use the insulation to a limited extent.
