Crackling loudspeakers - it could be that
Speakers on the PC usually crackle due to a loose contact on the cable or because they are not connected properly. We will show you other possible solutions in this practical tip.
Crackling speakers: You can do that
- First check whether the speakers are really connected correctly. All cables must be fully inserted.
- Then check whether there is a loose connection on the cable. To do this, bend the cable back and forth in the area of the connections. If the crackling changes, the cable is defective and you need to replace it.
- Next, connect the speakers to another device. If you are working properly, there may be a defect in the headphone jack on your computer. Only an exchange helps here.
- Remove all sources of interference. Cell phones and routers or similar devices can influence the function of the loudspeakers and cause crackling.
- It may help to change the volume settings. Turn down the volume on the PC and up on the speakers or vice versa.
- Install the latest drivers for your sound card so the speakers can work properly.
- If the problem cannot be solved as described, the speakers are most likely defective. If you still have a guarantee, you can complain. If the boxes are more than two years old, you are no longer entitled to a guarantee.
- Tip: Bluetooth speakers have no AUX cable and are therefore less susceptible to defects and loose contacts.
