Build speakers yourself - a guide
You can build your speakers yourself in just a few simple steps. We have instructions for you in this practical tip.
Build speakers yourself - how it works
This guide shows you how to quickly make simple speakers yourself. You'll need a copper wire, a strong magnet, some tape, and an empty plastic tray.
- First, wrap the wire seven times around the magnet, which serves as a template here. Leave about one to two meters of wire.
- Remove the magnet and then glue the coil onto an inverted plastic cup.
- Wrap the protruding wire around something larger than the magnet, approximately so that there is still 30cm on both sides.
- Now glue the large spool onto the small spool. Then place the magnet on the two coils so that it touches the copper wire a little.
- Finally, connect one end of the wire to the upper part of a jack plug and the other to the lower part of the plug.
- For a more stable attachment, we recommend alligator clips so that you can firmly attach the wire.
In the next practical tip, we'll tell you what it can be like when the speakers crackle.
