Clean the LCD screen dry
Before cleaning your LCD screen, it should be switched off and disconnected from the power supply for at least 60 minutes. This is the recommendation of most manufacturers, but especially when it comes to dry cleaning, not much can really happen.
- It is best to take a soft, antistatic cloth with you and clean the surfaces of the device.
- A soft dust brush is suitable for hard-to-reach areas such as cracks and corners.
- Use the vacuum cleaner to safely remove dust from the ventilation openings or connection sockets.
- But be careful : if there is a fan behind the openings. If you drive this through the sucking air flow, the fan motor works like a dynamo and generates electricity. Doing so could damage your device.
Instructions: Clean the LCD TV with a damp cloth
To clean your TV set with a damp cloth, you should use a microfiber cloth. The best one for wet cleaning and one for drying.
- Use clean tap water or a special screen cleaner for wet cleaning.
- Wring out the cloth well and spray on detergent only in moderation. The TV should only be damp and not wet.
- To avoid streaking, wipe the TV dry afterwards.
- Important : Do not let water get into the open ventilation slots. If water penetrates the device, a short circuit can occur.
Cleaning LCD TVs properly: Be careful of these agents
A special screen cleaner is not absolutely necessary, but provides a little more shine than tap water.
- However, you should keep your distance from the usual cleaning agents.
- Ingredients such as acid and alcohol attack the display.
- Even classic window cleaners are not suitable, as they often leave streaks.
