In League of Legends (LoL), AD carry Ashe cleans up properly with the right build. In this guide you will find recommendations for equipment, masteries, runes and tips on how to play Ashe in general, so that you can dominate the battlefield with the ice princess even more easily in the future.
Ashes icy fighting skills
As the AD carry in League of Legends, Ashe's greatest strength is the damage she does with her regular attacks at the end of the game. But their abilities are also very special and are ideal for keeping enemies at a distance or chasing them until they perish. As a priority we recommend "Enchanted Crystal Arrow" (R)> "Volley" (W)> "Ranger's Focus" (Q)> "Hawkshot" (E).
- "Enchanted Crystal Arrow" is Ashes Ultimate and only available from level 6. Like all Ultimates, you should level it whenever you can, i.e. at levels 6, 11 and 16.
- Ashe's giant ice arrow can fly over the entire map and is therefore useful in numerous situations. He stuns his target on a direct hit, deals 200+ damage and slows down in the strike radius. This is great for attacking inattentive opponents individually and starting a fight, but it can also save teammates' lives.
- If you have to flee yourself, you can also use it defensively to briefly eliminate pursuers. But be careful, the less the arrow flies, the shorter the target is stunned.
- Volley fires nine arrows, which can do a lot of damage depending on your general damage. It is also particularly useful to slow down all targets that have been hit.
- Each arrow hits only one enemy. So if you want to catch enemy champions, be careful not to be covered by Minions. The skill is great for attacking multiple opponents.
- "Ranger's Focus" initially lets you collect focus through your basic attacks. After four charges, you can then activate the ability to increase attack speed and do more damage with your normal attacks. The whole thing lasts for four seconds.
- "Hawkshot" is very useful if you don't have any wards with you, but you suspect an opponent is in a certain location. So you can surprise the opposing team at Baron Nashor or find their jungler.
- However, this is only of secondary importance, especially at the beginning of the game. The Hawkshot does not cost mana, but depending on the level, it takes some time to recharge. You can carry two charges in total.
- Frost Shot is Ashe's passive ability. With each of your attacks, the enemy receives frost, which slows them down and increases their critical chance of hitting them. Your critical hits do a little less damage, but they triple the effects of Frost Shot.
The right runes for Ashe
Ashe's AD-Carry has the primary task of collecting a lot of gold and - as obviously it may sound - to die as rarely as possible. Since Carrys tend to be weak at the beginning of the game, runes can help here.
- "Precision" is Ashe's first branch in the rune system. This improves the attacks and ensures continuous damage.
- "Fleet Footwork" is perfect for Ashe. With attacks and movements you collect energy. With 100 of these charges, heal yourself with your next attack and you'll run faster. This allows you to perfectly track opponents and slow them down with your attacks.
- "Triumph" heals you for a kill and gives you 20 extra gold. This is very important for AD Carries so that good items can be bought as quickly as possible.
- We recommend that you choose "Legend: Alacrity" so that you can permanently attack faster. This allows you to make optimal use of your Q ability and distribute your frost more quickly to your opponents.
- With "Coup de Grace" you do more damage to enemies with little life. How to secure the kill for your team.
- "Sorcery" can be Ashe's second branch in the rune system. This gives you more attack speed and more damage.
- "The Ultimate Hat" is almost indispensable, since the cooldown of your Ultimate is reduced after each use. This is very useful at Ashe, since the ice arrow can bring a big advantage in a team fight.
- "Gathering Storm" always gives you some damage every 10 minutes.
- Try out the runes and see what you like best. For Ashe, for example, "Overheal" would be a good alternative to "Triumph". In the end, it depends on your personal playing style.
Equipment for Ashe
Equipment for ADCs is always expensive, but effective.
- Depending on whether you play with a good healer, you can start with a "Doran's Blade", a healing potion and the warding totem. So you are prepared for everything.
- If you are teleporting back to the base for the first time, you should already buy components of the "Infinity Edge" or save on them. This item is essential for Ashe due to the increased critical strike chance.
- First of all, focus on shoes, ideally the "Berseker's Greaves" and on "Zeal", from which you later make "Runaan's Hurricane" and "Phantom Dancer" or a "Statikk Shiv".
- Decide the rest of the items depending on the situation.
- We can always recommend "Lord Dominik's Regards" if you do little against the enemy tanks. Not only does this item ignore 30 percent of armor, it also gives you 20 percent more damage against enemies with more maximum health.
- "Guardian Angel" can reverse a team fight in many situations. But watch the team fights for this: If the opponents do a lot of AOE damage and your team suddenly kills, you only give the opponents gold by rebirth.
- If you have problems with the mages of the opposing team, buy yourself a "Maw of Malmortius". This protects you from incoming magic damage with a shield and can thus save your life.
Summoner Spells
Flash is one of the best Summoner Spells ever and is used by most characters. Combine it with Ignite, Cleanse, Barrier or Heal depending on your preference and situation. Ignite can secure champion kills right at the start of a match, while Cleanse and Barrier can save your life until the end.
General tips about Ashe
In general, it is important that you behave cautiously at the start of the game, get last hits and do not take too many risks, in order to take out an opposing champion. If you end up with more gold than your opponent's carry, it's worth more than an early kill.
- In team battles you should of course not be in the middle of the fire, but always move a little outside and with "volley" and your standard attack put the opponents under constant pressure without getting caught in the fire.
- Use your Ultimate frequently and in good coordination with your teammates to land kills safely. Especially as Ashe, it is always useful to keep an eye on the minimap in order to be able to place an arrow in the way of the opponent when they want to attack or flee. This saves lives and ensures victory just like a well-initiated team fight.
Essential for every fight in League of Legends is not only that you master your champion, but also the knowledge of your opponents. If you regularly want to quickly look up who you have in front of you, the League of Legends Champions app is definitely a good companion for you.
