League of Legends: These are the system requirements
Alongside WoW, League of Legends is the most successful role-playing game on the PC. Compared to other top games, system requirements are still reasonable. In this practical tip, we have summarized what your computer has to be able to do and what hardware the developers recommend.
Minimum system requirements for League of Legends
In order for you to be able to play League of Legends on low settings, at least the following hardware and software is necessary:
- Processor: The manufacturer specifies a 2 GHz CPU as a minimum requirement.
- RAM: To be able to play League of Legends, you need at least 1 GB of RAM. With Windows Vista and Windows 7, however, 2 GB of RAM or more are required.
- Hard disk space: The game requires at least 8 GB of free space.
- Graphics card: Your graphics card must support at least Shader Version 2.0. It should also provide DirectX v9.0c or better.
- Operating system: On your PC you need Windows XP (Service Pack 2 or 3 only), Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8.
Recommended system requirements for League of Legends
If you want to play League of Legends on higher graphics settings, you need a slightly better system:
- Processor: For optimal gaming enjoyment, at least a 3 GHz desktop processor is required.
- RAM: The manufacturer recommends 2 GB of RAM or more. Windows Vista and Windows 7 users, on the other hand, should have at least 4 GB of RAM.
- Hard disk space: Although LoL basically only takes up 8 GB of memory, the manufacturer recommends 12 GB of free hard disk space.
- Graphics card: For higher resolution and game details you need a GeForce 8800 or equivalent graphics card with an independent graphics processor and 512 MB VRAM. Your card must also support DirectX v9.0c or higher.
- Operating system: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 (with the latest service pack) and the latest update of the .NET Framework from Microsoft must be installed on your PC.
