League of Legends: registration error - what to do?
The League of Legends client sometimes issues a message when logging in that an unexpected error occurred during the login. Riot refers to the support page, which does not offer explicit help here. This practical tip shows you what you can do to log in again.
League of Legends: registration error - start repair
Riot provides its own repair tool for errors in its client. First, try to fix the problem with this:
- Start League of Legends.
- Go to the gear icon in the top right. A pop-up window with various options appears.
- Click on "Start complete repair" and confirm the next message with "Yes". The process can now take some time.
- Then open League of Legends with administrator rights.

- If you have set up guest access, the error message can also come from this.
- Log into your W-LAN with full access rights and try whether you can now register with League of Legends.

Unexpected error - Uninstall and add program content
If nothing helps up to this point, you can still try to uninstall individual components or the entire game and add new ones. Switching to the new client sometimes leads to problems in the update process. A new installation can then correct the error.
- First uninstall the Pando Media Booster. This often causes problems in League of Legends.
- If the login still does not work, completely uninstall League of Legends and download the latest version of the client.
- Carry out the installation with admin rights so that all important components can be reinstalled.
