We consume foods that make us tired almost every day. Therefore, do not be surprised if you suddenly sit on the sofa without a drive, even though you are not tired at all. The most common culprits are white flour and sugar.
These foods can make you tired
Fast carbohydrates in particular quickly make you tired. These include products that contain a lot of white flour and sugar.
- White flour and sugar provide many carbohydrates. This will cause your blood sugar level to rise rapidly. Since the pancreas has to produce a lot of insulin for this, the blood sugar level begins to drop rapidly after a short time. The result: sudden tiredness.
- White flour products such as rolls, pasta or white bread not only supply too many carbohydrates, but are ultimately also converted into sugar. And this also makes your body limp.
- An increased sugar consumption inhibits the watch hormone orexin and you feel tired afterwards. Sweets should therefore stay away from your eating plan if you don't want to get tired.
- You should be particularly careful with light products and low-fat foods, such as low-fat yogurt. Because fat is a flavor carrier. If this is removed, it must be replaced by other substances so that the food tastes good. This includes sugar. That is why fat-free foods contain a lot of sugar and this makes your body limp.
- Even fatty and fried foods make you tired. Your body needs a lot of energy to digest fat. Once the energy is used up for digestion, the energy is then missing in the brain.
- Nuts and legumes contain a lot of vitamins and fiber, but are difficult to digest.
Avoid foods that are difficult to digest
In order not to get tired, you should not only avoid sugary foods or foods made from white flour, but always make sure that you do not eat foods that are difficult to digest. Food that can make you tired can therefore be found in the following list:
- Legumes and nuts
- Light products, low-fat foods

- Pastries and food made from white flour
- Meat, especially fatty meat, is also difficult to digest
- Chips, including vegetable chips, contain a lot of fat
- Smoothies because they can contain a lot of hidden sugar
