In Microsoft Word, you can have spaces displayed, making it easy to identify double spaces, for example. Read exactly how this works in this tip.
Show spaces in Word - how it works
- Click the "Office Icon" in the top left corner of the Word menu bar and then click "Word Options".
- In the Word options, click on the "Show" tab on the left.
- To display the spaces as a so-called "formatting character", place a checkmark in front of the entry "spaces" (see picture).
- Then confirm the setting with "OK".
- Now you will see a single dot between the words for each space.
Microsoft Word 2007 was used for this practical tip. In Word 2010 you will find the "Word Options" under "File"> "Options". In Word, you can also enter letters with circumflex (â), more on this in this article.
