LG G5: Improve battery life - the best tips
The LG G5's battery life can be improved with a few tricks. We show you the best tricks that make the smartphone last longer.
Improve the battery life of the LG G5
The battery capacity is used by the screen and by various apps. In the settings under "Battery & energy consumption" you can see the biggest power guzzlers.
- Screen brightness: The G5's large screen has the highest energy consumption. Turn off the automatic brightness setting in the settings under "Display" and set the value down. Alternatively, you can have the lighting controlled automatically.
- Limit traffic: Many apps update automatically in the background. This makes sense for apps like WhatsApp, but costs the battery unnecessarily for others. You can restrict the background updates of individual apps in the settings under "Data consumption".
- Battery saving mode: If the battery of your LG G5 is running low, you should activate the battery saving mode. This limits the background activities of various apps until the next recharge. To do this, open the settings. Under "Battery & energy consumption" activate "Battery saving mode".
- Game optimization: Game optimization switches off some graphic effects that require a lot of power and thus helps you to improve the battery life when using game apps. You can activate the optimization in the settings under "Battery & energy consumption".
- Additional apps: With battery saving apps for Android, you can make various settings to save the battery and keep an eye on your success. BatteryGuru is tailored to androids with Snapdragon processor and is therefore ideal for the LG G5.
